The Sunday of September 16 saw one of the powerhouses of the world economy, the American financial system shaking to its core. With apocalyptic events like the global giants Lehman Brothers filing for bankruptcy protection, Merrill Lynch & Co. agreeing to be sold to Bank of America and insurance giant AIG seeking cash, the day finally ushered a crisis which is generally referred to as the Wall St crisis. This crisis which pushed companies to fall like a pack of cards also led to announcement of huge job cuts.
